Well, hello there!

Hello dearest friends and family.

It looks like it has been a year since anything has been posted to this blog. I have had a bad case of writer's block and now do feel like I have some things to say ;) I don't why it is hard for me to blog. No, actually I do know why I don't blog. I feel like I do not have cool/funny things to say, I do not have any fancy camera to document what Christian and I do, and also, I am really good at reading other people's blogs. One of my resolutions for 2013 is to be better at documenting our lives. At just about three months into the new year, I am going to do just that. Here are some things going on with us...

+ I am now (well, as of October) working as a nanny for a family here in Utah county
+ Christian is still in school and will be done in August (yes yes yes) and he is also a marketing intern for DOMO
+ Christian has pretty long hair and I don't want him to cut it (Please don't do it Christian!)
+ I have started season two of Downton Abbey and hate Mr. Bates' wife (team Anna)
+ Other shows we love include Person of Interest, Psych, Suits, and Modern Family. We are open for more suggestions!
+ Snoog Dogg is now Snoop Lion... How have we not talked about this yet? Oh yeah, I don't blog
+ Kimye (Kim + Kanye) is having a baby. I think Kanye is the one, Kim!

I think that about sums up the last year for us.

This is what we look like. This is the most recent picture of us together... this is in August. I told you I don't have fancy things to document life!

Ok, bye!

Eye of the Tiger

I cannot even tell you how many times Christian has said "Bre, you really need to blog" (in a serious voice). Well, yes it has been a while since the last post by my main man. I am here with you today with not a ton of updates, just something I have been wanting to blog about for awhile because it was one of my favorite things Christian has ever done...

One morning during finals week (after we both had a rough night of sleep) we wake up and Christian jumps out of bed and leaves the room. I did not think too much of it and I stay in bed a little longer. Christian comes back in, with my laptop, blasting "Eye of the Tiger" and then proceeds to dance through the whole song while I just lay in bed... laughing hysterically thinking to myself... ya, I know I chose the right one. He then continues to play it at least three more times throughout the morning. What a great way to pump you up for finals, or anything else really. So whenever any one of you needs a pump up song, Christian and I recommend this one.

Aint No Sunshine When She's Gone.

So my lovely wife has been out of town for the last couple days. Its kinda crazy how used you get to always having the love of your life by your side all of the time. When they leave it all feels off, like trying to everything left handed. Its embarrassing how drastically the overall quality of my life has decreased the last several days. The following are some examples of what has happened to me during my wife's absence.
  • I haven't shaved for the last five days. It does not look pretty. I either look like a wimpy lumberjack or a gay caveman.
  • My dietary intake is atrocious. Yesterday I ate two Fiber One bars for breakfast (regretted that later), chicken nuggets and a frosty from Wendy's for lunch, and some string cheese for dinner.
  • I couldn't sleep the first night Bre left town. Its crazy how used you get to sleeping with someone beside you. I tried laying down a body pillow beside me in bed but decided that was just too weird. I resorted to playing video games till 3 o'clock in the morning. By that time I was adequately delusional with fatigue to convince myself that the body pillow idea really wasn't that weird and that I should run with it. I slept like a baby.
I loved my wife with all my heart before she left town. But that love has only been enhanced with her absence. It's true, your really don't know what you got till it's gone.

Updates.

Hi! Wow, it has been forever since I have blogged. Good thing we have Christian to blog to keep us entertained. Life has gotten busy and I have re-discovered Pinterest. I am totally addicted. Admitting is the first step. It is all consuming! But I tell Christian it is not a total waste of time because I find good recipes to cook from it--therefore benefiting us both. Makes sense, right? But I thought I'd come up with a little list of updates for you all. Here it goes...

1. I am a working woman now! I work as a vision therapist at an Optometrist's office. It's the best job.
2. I am wearing my new red jeans today and I totally love them. Thank you mama schwaby
3. Speaking of mama schwaby... her and pops moved to Utah! What?! Ya, no joke. They moved in this past weekend to Sugarhouse. Really cute part of Salt Lake City. I hope this will be the perfect adventure for them. They deserve all happiness.

4. It has been pretty good weather. Thank you fall. I hope you stay awhile.
5. Just got a 25/25 on a test. It was online. And open book. I'm such a smarty pants. It's probably my red pants that make me smart.
6. I am so into pumpkin everything right now. So yummy.
7. Our house flooded a couple weeks ago. I was doing laps back and forth between our bedroom and living room. Ha ha. Kidding. It wasn't that bad. But we get new carpet so yay!
8. We just got all our wedding pictures! Yay! Now just waiting for the video.
9. Get to see Julie and the kiddos this weekend. Pretty PUMPED about that. Love me some family time. Can't wait to see you Julie! Wish you were coming Austin!
10. Christian and I have known each other officially for more than a year now. Time has gone by so fast. I don't know what I did before he was in my life. And I never have to wonder what my life would be like without him in my life. Love you best friend.

Here are some shots from our bridal shoot...

More to come :)

10 Reasons Why My Wife is Better than Your Wife.

I was sitting in church today and I suddenly realized that my wife was the coolest person I have ever met. I had the sudden urge to let other people know about it. So this little list is just 10 of the many reasons my wife is cooler than your wife, or your future wife.
10. My wife makes me laugh harder than anyone I have ever met.
9. My wife consistently makes delicious home cooked meals. Just now she is whipping up Chicken Devan and Chedder Cheese Biscuits like its N.B.D.
8. My wife doesn't have any weird habits like being a neat freak or snoring.
7. My wife watches sports with me and doesn't complain about it.
6. My wife likes Carls Jr.
5. My wife rather listen to others than talk about herself.
4. My wife rather let me win so she doesn't have to watch me lose.
3. My wife has been to every sporting event of mine since we have known each other, even when its snowing.
2. My wife likes to sleep in.
1. My wife isn't high maintenance.

Doughnut run at 11:00 pm? YES.

BYU offers this bomb starving student card that gets you a bunch of discounts to food and various activities around Provo. We fall into the category of starving students so of course, we had to buy them. Good choice. Probably the best of the day. So Christian had just come home from work and we were wanting a treat. This happens often. We looked at our card to see what deals we could get and I choose Krispy Kreme. One of the best things about Jonesy is that he ALWAYS lets me choose. So no more than 5 minutes later we were out the door to get our treat. They were delicious and worth every penny. And calorie. Just take a look for yourself. YUMM.

Yes, we were happy all around. Lasted us for breakfast for the next couple days. Score! Thank you Mr. Kreme for a delicious treat. I am sure we will be back.

First day of school

Well here we are... another school year. The only thing different about this year than the others... we are murrrried! I think Jonesy was more excited about school to start than I was. I mean summer was the best and the living was easy. But school will be fun. I am so grateful to even go to school. So make sure I never complain about it! This is my senior year... YES. And Jonesy started his junior year. Upper classmen... whata life. Here we are on the first day of school. Look at him pose... he could be a part-time model.
